Partnerships and Security Risk Management | GISF Workshop | Panama

This in-person event will take place the last week of July in Panama. The dates mentioned here are tentative. Final dates will be confirmed and published soon.

About

These workshops seek to help individual local NGOs and international NGOs, as well as organisations already in existing partnerships to:

• Have open and equal conversations about security risk management (SRM).
• Develop their capacity to manage security risks in an equitable way within their partnerships.
• Familiarise themselves with the GISF guide, Partnerships and Security Risk Management: a joint action guide for local and international aid organisations and its tools, as well as other relevant GISF publications.

GISF is organising additional online workshops, each one focusing on a specific region.

Audience

These workshops are targeted at:

• Representatives of local NGOs who have security and/or partnership responsibilities.
• Representatives of internationalNGOs who have security and/or partnership responsibilities (acting as global or regional SFPs, and/or partnership advisors or programme directors).

Workshop participation is limited to personnel working in the respective region, including those who work on the regions remotely or from HQ.  To ensure that a wide range of organisations can benefit from the workshops, participation might initially be limited to one person from an organisation per workshop, with additional spaces granted upon availability.

We strongly encourage INGO and NGO staff who are already partners to attend the workshop together, however, individual participants are also welcome.

Please note that the workshops will be held in Spanish.

Location: Panama City, Panama. Final venue TBC

The workshop is free but participants must cover all their costs, e.g. flights, accommodation, etc.

If the workshop is oversubscribed, organisations may be limited to one place. A waiting list for 2^nd places will be maintained and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
