Proposed future events for GISF members and associates

GISF plans to pilot a new schedule of flagship events for our members and associates. These are designed to expand on the existing Spring and Autumn Forum events held in Europe and North America each year.

The proposed events, beginning in 2025, are:

  • An annual NGO Safety & Security Conference, which would bring together all GISF’s members and associates, along with representatives from other relevant organisations. This global event would replace the existing Europe and Americas Spring Forums and focus more on strategic and cross-cutting security issues and strengthening collaboration. The 2025 event will be held in Dublin and the 2026 event in North America.
  • The member and associate-only Autumn Forums, which would remain the same as in previous years – one in Europe and one in North America. Forums will focus more on operational security risk management and sharing experiences and practical solutions.
  • GISF Regional Exchanges, which would be linked to GISF workshops and would rotate through key hubs, such as Nairobi, Amman, Panama City and Bangkok. Both global and regional staff from GISF members and associates would be invited.

As these proposed new events are still in development, GISF invites its members and associates to share their thoughts and feedback through this survey

Your participation in this 15-minute survey would be greatly appreciated and will help ensure we are able to deliver a programme of events that truly meet the needs of our members and associates.

If you would like to read more details on the proposed events before answering the survey, you can download a full concept note here.
