Description | Global Risk Advice’s Hostile environment awareness training is a 3-day, residential course designed for those who contribute to the world in challenging, remote or hostile regions. In areas of poor governance, conflict, natural disaster and war, threats like crime and conflict can result in real dangers and medical facilities can be few, poor and far between. HEAT participants learn to recognise, assess and avoid or handle, risks. Should incidents happen, they’re trained to respond according to best practices in the field that optimise the likelihood of a positive outcome. The course is designed to be safe, encouraging and enjoyable combining practical challenges with relevant theory. Global Risk Advice’s certified trainers do support and coach participants during the training and in the period following this training.
