Description | DescriptionFor more than 40 years, Médecins du Monde (MdM), a campaigning medical organisation committed to international solidarity, has been caring for the most vulnerable populations here and abroad. It has continued to bear witness to obstacles that exist in accessing healthcare and has secured sustainable improvements in health-for-all policies. Those working for this independent organisation do not solely dispense care and treatment but condemn violations of human dignity and rights and fight to improve matters for populations living in precarious situations. MdM France currently works in 30 countries across all continents to facilitate access to healthcare through 6 political battles:
MdM strategy in Palestine focuses on 2 pillars: Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPREP) including the reinforcement and provision of comprehensive primary health care and medical emergency response with a focus on Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Besides, MdM strategy includes of Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and emergency response activities following critical incidents related to occupation, local partners capacity building and MHPSS integration at Ministry of Health (MOH) Primary Health Care Centres level (PHCCs). Job descriptionAs a humanitarian access and risk advisor, you are responsible for the implementation of the security pack and the monitoring of Medecins du Monde (MdM)’s safety and security framework at country level. You are the guarantor of the good practice of the MdM policy on the subject. You improve contextual analysis, build a network, support operational management and strengthen the security capacities of the mission to advise and support the general coordinator (who remains the primary person responsible for security in the country) in that regard. You are the line manager for the humanitarian access and risk officer (HARO). Your main responsibilities are the following:
