As today is my final day at GISF, I wanted to take this opportunity to say goodbye to the network. Since joining the team almost 2 years ago, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and work with some of the most interesting and dedicated people I know. On top of that, I’ve discovered my ‘niche’ and will leave GISF with invaluable skills and experiences to take forward into my communications career.
Among many, one of the highlights of my time at GISF was managing the launch of the new website. Taking the project on alongside the EISF to GISF rebrand wasn’t easy, but I am truly grateful for the opportunity. As Lisa recently said, there aren’t many people who will literally be able to see the mark they’ve left on GISF as much as I can.
I leave GISF for a job at the UK Civil Service, and in my spare time, I’ll be undertaking a professional diploma in user experience web design, doing some freelance editing and photographing my new city. Thank you again to everyone I’ve met and worked with at GISF, from podcast guests to career advisers to blog writers, your support is appreciated.
