| Biography | Strategic Edge International, or SEI, is a social enterprise based in Switzerland and operational in the Asia and MENA regions. Our clients are exclusively NGOs operating in high risk environments, such as Oxfam, Tearfund, IRC, DCA, Malteser International, UPP, and 41 other NGOs operating mostly in Iraq. We are also registered in Iraq and in Nepal as Strategic Edge. As security professionals, our focus is humanitarian security with the following services: security training of NGO staff (HEAT), first aid and other safety training, disaster response, risk assessments, advance party visits and accompaniment to high-risk program areas, security advising (designing security plans, SOPs, regular situation reports), and emergency response/rapid reaction teams. As a charitable company, SEI established the Amalna Foundation for Community Building in Iraq, and funds the Support Center for Women and Children in Mosul. SEI also sends volunteer medics to treat civilians in frontline areas in Iraq and Syria. |
