GISF Launches New Online Platform for Security Professionals

Share this:

On 23rd April, GISF officially launched the GISF Exchange, our new online community platform for members and associates. Developed in response to feedback from our network, the  GISF Exchange is a user-friendly, interactive space designed to strengthen connections among security professionals working within the diverse NGOs that make up the GISF community.

Just two weeks since its launch, more than 120 security focal points from member and associate organisations are active on the platform – reflecting growing momentum for greater peer learning, collaboration, and exchange in the sector.

The platform provides a space for security staff to:

  • Connect with SRM professionals worldwide
  • Find partners to collaborate with
  • Share resources and best practices
  • Ask questions and join expert-led discussions
  • Access exclusive tools, events, and updates

With regional channels and thematic sections, the Exchange makes it easy for users to share timely information and stay updated on both GISF and member-led events. Users can post news items, upload useful documents, and connect with colleagues and helpful contacts through the member directory.

The Exchange is also home to a number of member-driven Communities of Practice (CoP), including the Policy Working Group and the SRM Training CoP. These groups meet on a regular basis to share experiences, address common challenges, and engage in collaborative activities.
