HEAT Online

Our online HEAT course – also known as Personal Field Security Training or PFST – will be conducted in English.

For whom is this course intended?
This training course is intended for local and international professionals in the development, human rights and environmental protection sectors, working in a hostile environment (with uncertain security).

This training program aims to strengthen the personal security of professionals operating in sensitive environments. The online HEAT course provides participants with robust theoretical knowledge and practical exercises specifically adapted to the virtual format, enabling them to assess, anticipate, and respond effectively to critical situations. Through an interactive and participatory approach, our team of trainers ensures that each participant develops concrete skills, appropriate reflexes, and increased confidence, even at a distance. Sessions alternate between theoretical input, case studies, virtual scenarios, and experience sharing, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

This online format is specifically designed to allow participants to follow the course continuously without interrupting their regular professional activities. Digital tools are used to simulate realistic scenarios, facilitate group work, and leverage interactive materials that immerse participants in situations similar to those encountered in the field. The final session is dedicated to a comprehensive scenario, allowing participants to apply the concepts learned throughout the course in a practical, immersive way. Participants benefit from expert guidance throughout the 16 modules, delivered over 6 half-days of 3 hours and 30 minutes each (including breaks).

How long does the training last?
