Description | Women working in humanitarian field operations often face unique and heightened security risks, from targeted violence and harassment to systemic barriers that limit their access to safe working environments. These challenges demand urgent attention to ensure that women humanitarian workers can operate safely and effectively while contributing their vital perspectives to humanitarian action. This session brings together a panel of experts from the UN, NGOs to examine the multifaceted security risks faced by women in the field. The discussion will highlight best practices, share personal stories from the field, and explore innovative solutions to create safer, more inclusive environments for women in humanitarian operations. This hybrid panel provides a platform for diverse voices and perspectives, aiming to inspire actionable change in policy and practice. This session is organised by the UNHCR Field Security Service as part of a shared programme at Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW) with GISF. How to register
