As a final Christmas gift, GISF is pleased to inform you of the release of a French translation of our very popular guide – Security Risk Management: a basic guide for smaller NGOs .
This guide originally published in 2017, aims to be a simple, easy-to-use security resource to help smaller NGOs demystify security risk management. By setting out the elements of a basic security risk management framework, this guide aims to support NGOs in translating their duty of care obligations into key processes and actions that will not only enhance their national and international staff security but also improve their organisation’s impact and credibility.
The pandemic highlighted once more the essential role of local actors who generally work for smaller NGOs and translating this guide is a way to support them. Mindful of the limited resources and the specific challenges that smaller NGOs may face, this document provides key advice to establish and maintain an adequate security risk management framework.
To support us and ensure that a wider audience of aid workers have access to our resources on security risk management, please share this document within your francophone network.
You can also access the Spanish and English translation of the guide on our website. If you would like to order hard copies of the guide, please email Léa at gisf-research@gisf.ngo
Thank you very much for your support and wishing you lovely holidays,
Merry Christmas to all!
