Sigma7 RSM’s Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) prepares individuals and teams to operate safely, confidently, and effectively in high risk and complex environments. Whether facing security threats, natural hazards, or significant cultural and legal challenges, HEAT builds resilience, situational awareness, and practical decision-making skills that enable organizations to manage risk and protect their people.

Our HEAT program blends real world experience with immersive simulations, hands on scenarios, and flexible delivery options. Training can be delivered at our purpose built outdoor HEAT facilities in Virginia, through organization specific on site courses, or via virtual and eLearning formats that support globally dispersed teams. Participants are exposed to realistic, high pressure scenarios including active conflict zones, humanitarian and disaster response settings, remote and austere locations, and high crime environments.

With nearly 50 years of combined operational experience, Sigma7 RSM’s instructors bring lived expertise from decades of in country security risk management and embedded security leadership across South and Central Asia, Sub Saharan Africa, MENA, and the Americas. Our curriculum is aligned with ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management standards and reinforced through practical exercises, ensuring participants leave with actionable skills they can apply immediately.
