| Description | What we are looking for Strong background and experience in Humanitarian Access and safety within the humanitarian sector, with experience from working in complex, fluid and volatile contexts. Prior work experience at the country (field) level, with programme implementation as a plus. Advanced knowledge of principles and practices in broad humanitarian action, NGO safety and risk management, humanitarian access, and civil-military coordination. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable and flexible approach. Remote management experience and prior experience in people development and capacity building. What you will do The Humanitarian Access and Safety (HAS) function enables a principled humanitarian response delivered safely for staff, partners, and communities. In Yemen, the operating environment remains highly complex, requiring strong security risk management, clear internal communication, and consistent application of global HAS standards. To strengthen compliance with global requirements and build sustainable country-level capacity, NRC will deploy a dedicated Humanitarian Access and Safety Adviser for a fixed period of one year. The role is designed to provide senior technical oversight, quality assurance, and structured capacity building to the Yemen Country Office HAS function, while line-managing and mentoring the Country HAS Manager.
