Risk Sharing Framework

The Risk Sharing Platform, co-led by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ICRC, and InterAction, was established in 2021. It aims to improve the way organizations share risk and better support affected people. The platform developed a Risk Sharing Framework through extensive discussions and drafting processes between late 2022 and May 2023. The framework provides a principled approach for interested humanitarian actors to pursue risk sharing as a means of enhancing the effectiveness of delivering support to affected individuals. It can be adapted and used by actors as they see fit.
