GISF’s latest guide is now available in French, Spanish and Arabic, helping to spread good SRM practices to wider audiences.
Last year, the Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF) partnered with International Location Safety (ILS) to produce Security Risk Management (SRM) Strategy and Policy Development: A Cross-Functional Guide. This resource was designed to help NGOs approach SRM at a strategic, policy development and organisational level.
In line with GISF’s ongoing effort to reach NGOs and professionals across the world, the guide has now been translated. French, Spanish and Arabic versions are available to read and download for free on GISF’s website.
This publication offers foundational guidance that is not just for security specialists. It is also relevant for all senior staff – setting clear guidelines for how security should interact with HR, legal, communications, IT, programmes and safeguarding teams.
“We are really pleased to be able to offer another of GISF’s critical resources in multiple languages,” said Christian Kriticos, GISF’s Communications Lead. “We encourage all users with connections to French, Spanish and Arabic speakers to share the resources widely.”
You can access all versions of the guide here. There are also separate pages for the French and Spanish versions, which include editable Word versions of the guide’s toolkit.
