Description

AACCES’ HEAT program is a tailor-made and realistic program made to help local and international personnel deployed in the Sahel, prevent and address multi-shaped, evolving and persistent threats.

AACCES trainings are unique and built on the strong local and regional implementation of our training center in the Sahelian landscape, particularly in Niger. With a team composed of both local and international personnel, as well as vast providers, partners and local expert networks, AACCES has the capacity to offer trainings that involve a wide range of actors, fields and simulation exercises.

AACCES training are based on both theoretical classes in our training center and practical exercises on the field, immersing trainees into realistic scenarios. Throughout the course, trainees will receive a presentation of the measures to be taken to prevent the risks inherent in such deployments, and the behaviors to be adopted in the event of a proven threat. The knowledge acquired will then be put into practice by trainees during practical exercises based on real-life cases.

The aim of H.E.A.T. training is to enable trainees to:
– Apprehend their environment, better evaluate and clearly understand the multiple threats arising from a complex operation area;
– Learn safety and security measures, adapted to relevant threats;
– Develop individual skills and aptitudes to face complex situations and reinforce group resilience;
– Introduce trainees to emergency life care on seriously injured personnel in “tactical” situations;
– Develop their group dynamic through team building.
